Hollow Cone Sprays
General Details
Steinen has designed two very different hollow cone spray nozzles. Both hollow cone nozzle types have the advantage of a vortex being created inside the nozzle that is created as a result of incoming liquid introduced at 90º. As the liquid leaves the nozzle, the liquid is uniformly atomized and a distinct hollow cone pattern is achieved.
All of the Steinen hollow cone nozzles listed below are non-clogging because they do not contain any cores or internal vanes. All of these nozzles are of two piece design with removable caps for easy cleaning.
The Spraylet™ hollow cone nozzle:
- Body style allows for spray to exit the nozzle parallel to the pipe thread for a ‘direct on’ spray
- Flow rates from 0.20 gallons per minute (GPM) up to 2.0 GPM (.75 liters/minute to 7.6 LPM)
- Spray angles from 25˚ to 95˚
- Pressures from 10 PSI to 100 PSI (.7 BAR to 7 BAR)
- Constructed in various materials including 303 & 316 stainless steel and brass
- Available in 3/8 inch pipe thread (other thread sizes and types available upon request)
The Tan-Jet® hollow cone nozzles:
- Body style allows for spray to exit the nozzle perpendicular to the pipe thread for a ‘right angle’ spray
- Flow rates from 0.08 gallons per minute (GPM) up to 42.0 GPM (.30 liters/minute to 159 LPM)
- Customer may select 70˚ or 90˚ spray angles (Types TF & TM), or wide angle versions up to 115˚(Types TWF & TWM)
- Pressures from 3 PSI to 125 PSI (.2 BAR to 8.6 BAR)
- Constructed in various materials including 303 & 316 stainless steel and brass
- Available in 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 inch pipe thread (other thread sizes and types available upon request)
